Little Charlie and the Nightcats was a blues band formed in 1976, known for their energetic performances and skillful musicianship. The band was fronted by guitarist Charlie Baty, often referred to as "Little Charlie," and harmonica player/vocalist Rick Estrin. Hailing from California, the Nightcats built a reputation for their dynamic blend of Chicago blues, jump blues, and swing influences. Their witty lyrics, tight arrangements, and spirited stage presence contributed to their success. Over the years, they released numerous albums, and their 1987 album, "The Big Break," received critical acclaim. Little Charlie and the Nightcats continued to be a prominent presence in the blues scene until they officially disbanded in 2008.
