1950s Agfa Isolette III vintage camera with case - Tested, and in lovely condition!
Up for auction is a striking 1950s Agfa Isolette iii, a vintage folding camera crafted in Germany. This classic collector's item is in lovely used condition, featuring a beautiful black and silver finish. The black leather is well-preserved and the metal components show only a few signs of wear. This version has the Agfa Apotar 85mm 1:4.5 lens with the Prontor-SV shutter. This is a medium format 6x6cm camera which takes 120 roll film, which of course is still readily available in black and white negative, colour negative and colour transparency.
Although the shutter fires at all speeds, please note that these speeds have not maintained their factory-level precision, which is typical for vintage cameras of this age (refer to the included table for details). Despite this, the functionality should not be significantly impacted.

The camera lens is clear, free from any fungus, and the focus mechanism operates smoothly. The aperture control ring is also in good working condition. The bellows are intact without any visible pinpricks, though a film test is recommended to confirm this. Additionally, the rangefinder function is smooth but may require calibration for precise usage.
A notable feature of this camera is its anti double exposure function, which works as intended. The camera also bears a personal engraving from a previous owner, "L Simons," on the reverse, adding a unique touch of history.
Included in this auction is the original brown leather case, which remains in good condition for its age with some very minor repairs noted on the top.
