Introduction
One word: UniQ. Putting the tweeter in the centre of the midrange driver makes for a speaker with an exceptionally wide 'sweet spot'. This means the tone of the sound hardly changes for someone sat off-axis compared to the more usual 'prime seat'. This UniQ speaker is a fantastic upgrade for the centre speaker of smaller 6~8 Ohm surround systems.
Description
The slim KEF HTS5001 pillar loudspeaker made of cast aluminium hides refined technology which makes it sound far more impressive than the size would suggest. The HTS5001 draws on more than 60 years of KEF R&D, and it delivers beautiful clear sound.
This is a four-way speaker. Two 75mm (3in.) long-throw bass drivers with ultra low distortion flank the Uni-Q® array. Here you have a 15mm (0.6 in.) metal dome tweeter placed in the acoustic centre point of the 75mm (3in.) midrange cone.

Condition
Used, but overall it's excellent. There is a small rub mark which is shown in one of the photos.
