This is one of the cleanest preamps you can find in the market. Besides regular mic preamp, it does have an extra input for DPA 130v mics, instrument input, variable hi pass filter, large VU meter, polarity reverse and pad.

This preamp has an external transformer based power supply, which minimizes noise to the signal.

The M5 uses a half space rack wide and 2U space in hight. Its perfect to sit on a desk, but If you wish to keep it in a rack, you can install rack ears. Im including original Avalon rack ears ($90 value).
