c.1821 ANTIQUE SPODE SPODES IMPERIAL SHELL DESSERT SWEETMEAT DISH FROG COLOUR PATTERN IMARI.

This pattern was first used in 1821 and was created for the coronation banquet of King George IV. No chips or cracks. Good antique condition with tiny bits of crazing in places. Some age related staining. Gilding is in overall excellent condition with little wear, especially around the moulded handle. Slight scuffs/scratches to gilding in places.

A lovely antique piece. Made when George IV came to the throne. This dessert dish has the much sort after frog colour pattern in the Imari style.

A very rare piece and possibly one that was even used at the Kings coronation banquet.
