Monopoly is one of the worlds best known and best selling board games and has been so since it was first launch in the 1930s. The game was invented during the depression by an out of work. American heating engineer called Charles Darrow. Use the street names of his favorite Seaside resort Atlantic City, and the original game was drawn on an oil cloth table cover. It was also said that he used the tokens from his wife’s charm bracelet for the first monopoly playing pieces.
