Author Biography

First, I want to thank you for taking the time to read my "blurb" and learn more about me! I am blessed to be married to a great man and to be the mother of three wonderful, energetic and fun-loving children who provide me with countless inspiration for picture books. With the new addition to our family of a rescue pup, Miley Anna and our grumpy old cat, Lucy, I have more ideas for fun, carefree stories and illustrations than I can keep up with! I have always wanted to write and draw. When I was in the third grade, I attended a "Young Author's Conference" in Corvallis, Oregon at which I met various children's authors through workshops. At the age of 8, I decided that someday I would write and illustrate children's books. It has taken me over thirty years (exact number of years not necessary) to gain the courage and confidence to do just that! I do all my original illustrations in watercolor and colored pencil and don't plan on changing that "old-fashioned" technique any time soon.
