Here is my absolutely lovely Roberts RT1 Early Transistor radio

Resplendent in its original bright red rexine over a wood case it sports its original carry handle which is also on great condition. Knobs are complete with their often lost brass brights and the tuning scale is clear and in good condition.

The radio has undergone a restoration with all components tested and any suspect or known trouble sources were replaced, chassis was cleaned and tuning capacitor mountings were replaced.

This work has resulted in a radio that's working nicely and is likely to do so for many years to come.

As the original battery is unavailable unless specially ordered (and consequentially expensive) I have added a AA battery holder but have retained the original connectors in case the new owner wants to use them. (Note, this is a 6 volt radio not 9 volt like the majority of radios of the period)
