Condition: GOOD/vg: some movement in the spine but the binding remains firm/secure; spine cloth torn for approx half the height of the front hinge - has a tape repair; lacking dustjacket; publisher's original blind-stamped gilt decorated cloth binding slightly rubbed, with some staining and darkened at the spine; page edges soiled/grubby; some off-setting of the illustration plates. Plates all good, and guard papers present - one guard paper is wrinkled and coming loose; endpapers moderately foxed, then occasional spotting thereafter.
