Beautiful antique sterling silver and enamel souvenir spoon depicting the SS Beaver "Pioneer S.S. Beaver Vancouver, B.C.", a steamship built in 1835 and operated by the Hudson's Bay Company traveling between trading posts. The ship ran aground and sank in 1888 of the coast of Vancouver. The enamel on the spoon is complete and in great shape and the embossed image in the bowl is crisp. The spoon measures 4" in length and weighs 11.5 grams (0.40 oz).
