The 6th US Marines were quickly formed In July 1917 and were deployed to France in late September and early October of that year. 6th Marines fought in numerous battles all along the western front, the most famous being the battle of Belleau Wood. The 6th Marines suffered 9,777 casualties in this battle that included 1,811 men killed. They are buried in the nearby Aisne-Marne American Cemetery. German forces had punched a hole in the French lines with the 6th Marines conducting a forced March during the night to plug the gap. The German advance was halted.


Soldier is brand new and so is magazine although the outer plastic film has came apart due to its fragile makeup.
