1809 antique KASHKUL beggar's bowl ISLAMIC ART metalwork COPPER with silver or tin overlay NO RESERVE!

Offered for auction is this wonderful antique Islamic Kashkul, also known as a beggar's bowl. It features an intricate engraved solid copper body with silver or tin overlay which is also engraved. There are words/ statements engraved on both sides, and it is dated on the bottom 1224 in the Hijiri calendar (1809.) Dimensions are 8-3/8" long x 4-1/2" tall x just under 3-1/2" wide. The patina is original and it has not been polished. It was quite dirty when I acquired it and I wiped it down with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, which brought out the silver color only and did not change the copper patina. Condition is very good with no real damage to the bowl, but it may have had a foot on the bottom at one time in the past. It is balanced well enough to stand with a foot. Please see all photos as they are part of the description. A great example of antique Islamic art and a nice addition to any collection, it is offered with NO RESERVE!
