Fellow audiophiles and tube heads here is a Pioneer SX-34 Tube Stereo Amplifier

Made in Japan Project Amp ready to repair :) A RARE UNIT.

***Please read the following condition notes about the unit which is a perfect candidate for repair and enjoyment by an audiophile enthusiast with the skills to bring this old rare unit up to speed***

This unit has been in storage for many decades and I have recently come across it again boxed up. The unit appeared to not have a 3 amp fuse cap. 

After changing it out for a new fuse unit and fuse (mini 3 amp) it DID power up. Two of the radio dial lights lit up and after dealing with some moisture and dust issues I proceeded to test the unit with headphones on the radio setting. I heard radio singles on one channel along with considerable hum. There is a 'magic eye' light on the front that does not power up but may be a separate tube.

6 tubes appear to not be lighting up however I believe they are functioning tubes and there must be another issue that again can be looked into by the new owner. I prefer to walk away from this project and let an audiophile with tube skills to take up the challenge. 

From some research this appears to be a rather valuable amp even in parts and totally restored considerably more.
