This is an outstanding vintage woven splint basket by Carol Welch, Cherokee tribe, NC.  It is about 7 inches tall and features a diamond like pattern.

There is a handwritten tag and also includes a Kodak photo taken in the 1990s/200s of Carol weaving baskets.   This was purchased from Tomlinsons Collectibles and still has the original tag and some paperwork with it.

The basket is signed in pencil on the inside on the splints (please see photos).

The condition is excellent and it looks like it came right off the shelf.  This was displayed and never used.  A very beautiful piece for presentation or modern day use.  It would be a highlight of any basket or Native American collection.
