Octavo. 55 pages. Softcover bound in printed wrappers with the remains of paper tape on the spine (paper on the spine itself is mostly chipped away) and with a hole at top left corner and a string put through it. Edges of pages are wrinkled and torn and has a few chips.  Text is foxed. Rear page has partially detached from binding. Some damping on parts of text.  Contains an entry for each month with the phases of the moon, sunrise and sunset, etc.  The page facing this contains Anecdotes, Farm Notes, and the occasional joke (one joke on page 23 is about a black voter in Mobile).  On page 28 begins the Annual State Record for North Carolina followed by other North Carolina statistics.  There are roughly 20 pages of advertisements, mostly for businesses in North Carolina and Virginia.  There is a small hole in the rear cover, partly affecting the text.
