Tunbridge Ware

4 Drawer lockable Jewellery Cabinet on Bun feet.

The top depicts Dover Castle,

The door panels depicts Floral display of daffodils

The drawers have different banding on each front.

The condition of the cabinet commensurates with its age,

The top main area is very good, there are some small areas that require minor restoration, at the rear of the top there are some minor areas of damage.

The base has some minor cracking of the wood and there is a small sliver that has been reattached.

The lock is fully Working and has a key.

The cabinet has a wonderful deep patina.

Each drawer is a different size they are as follows:

1: 3.4cm High, 15cm Length, 8.8cm Depth

2: 3cm High, 15cm Length, 8.8cm Depth

3: 2.6cm High, 15cm Length, 8.8cm Depth

4: 2cm High, 15cm Length, 8.8cm Depth (The knob has a piece missing)

Size is as follows:

Top: 20cm x 15cm

Base: 21cm x 16.2cm

Height: 15.5cm


The cabinet was seen and examined by Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery and attributed as work by Henry Hollamby (active 1845 to 1891) and dated the piece to about 1860. (Original Letter dated 14th February 1992 will be supplied with the cabinet)

The cabinet is a superb piece of Tunbridge Ware and would enhance any collection as it is now, otherwise a new owner might like to complete some restoration.
