This lot consists of TWO Metallica guitar sheet music and tablature books: RIFF BY RIFF and UNDER THE MICROSCOPE.

These books are in overall good condition but they do show signs of reading, usage, wear, storage, handling, or age. The second book shows more usage than the first one and has a less reliable binding. Please see the photos and read the below written description for a full sense of the condition of these books.

Cherry Lane Music, 1994. This book covers all the essential guitar riffs (not the whole songs, just the memorable riffs) from the albums "Ride the Lightning," "Kill 'Em All," "Master of Puppets," "...And Justice for All," and "Metallica." Includes traditional music notation and guitar tablature. Binding is good and solid. Front cover has corner wear, some edge denting, some surface scuffing, a couple small cracks on spine edge. Back cover has corner wear, light edge denting, some superficial surface scratches or gouges, and some writing on the bar code on the back cover. I found no writing or marks inside this book. Interiors of covers are still white, not yellowed from age. No yellowing of pages or page edges.  Book feels lightly used but it's a nice, solid copy.

Cherry Lane Music, 2004. This book dissects 12 of the best-known Metallica songs, with commentary on technique. Contains traditional musical notation and guitar tablature. Book has been opened often so the binding is not tight, but it's still intact. Spine has no creases. Front cover has fraying or denting of corners, a large crack or fold diagonally across surface, other surface denting or scratching or wear. Back cover has corner fraying, edge denting or wear, surface scuffing or wear. A couple pages have folded corners. Some pages lightly dented from storage or handling. A previous owner of this book wrote some performance notes and the idea for a song on the inside back cover, but I skimmed the book and found no writing or notes on the music pages. One page has a small tear in the bottom edge.

This book isn't in as good condition as the other book in this lot, and you'll want to be careful with this often-bent binding when you fold open the book, but it's still quite useable and ready for its next guitar student.
