You are bidding on a 1:6 scale police box model, based on the Arwel-Jones prop as used from 2018 with Jodie Whitaker, during David Tennant’s return and through to the present day with Ncuti Gatwa in the new series. It was constructed from laser cut parts designed by myself and features two opening doors as well as a 3D printed lantern.

The box is constructed from laser cut ply and MDF, featuring 45 degree bevels to the edges of the recessed panels on all four sides which were created by hand using filler, sandpaper and a lot of patience. The box also features engraved wood grain which I designed digitally and laser cut on to the panels as well as the slightly thick, concrete texture on various parts replicating the look of the real props. It is finished in a dark glossy teal colour which, as with its onscreen counterpart, can appear blue and green depending on lighting.

Each plastic window pane features laser etched vertical lines to mimic the look of the fluted glass of the real prop as well as details of the overlapping lines of the silver frames recreated. It features two handles and a lock on its doors, these are glued on so I would recommend being gentle with them - likewise the lamp should be handled with care.

The lamp is detachable, as is the main roof piece which it slots into. You’ll find a hole running through the roof giving you the option to run a wire up to the lantern, part of which is also included. As pictured, this small light came with the lantern when I bought it, I have no idea how to fit it so that would be for someone savvy with electricals.

As a project this was very much a one off - I usually build classic boxes but this was a special project and I have no plans to build another, in light of this and what with the sheer amount of time I put into this I am asking a considerable amount and setting it as an auction so everyone can have a chance at winning it. I would prefer not to ship overseas given the sheer size/weight of the model and that it will need to be insured which will be very costly.

The box including lamp is approximately 49cm tall and will be securely packed for posting with the fragile elements packed separately from the main box.
