1912-1935 Large Pewter Serving Bowl, Marked Merwin Wilson New Medford Conn.,  9.75"


  • For your consideration is a great American pewter dish
  • A serving bowl in simple yet very stylish shape
  • Incised ring for decoration at the inner border
  • There is a mark on the underside, hardly discernable, which reads: "Merwin Wilson / New Medford Conn. / Pewter" and the number 888 stamped at the bottom
  • Circa 1912-1935 when the company was in operation under the leadership of Marcus Gaylord Merwin. They made fine pewter wares in Colonial taste, during the resurgence of that style in the first half of the 20th c.  
  • All original

  • Measurements: Approx. 9.75" diameter x 3" deep
  • Weighs about 1 lb. 12 oz. 

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. Great even patina. Some slight wear and a few shallow dimples, commensurate with age and use. All original.
