Antique 18th/19th c. Staffordshire Set 4 Porcelain Plates Hand Painted Flowers, English


  • For your consideration is a set of 4 very finely hand painted early English porcelain plates
  • Extremely well drawn floral sprays decoration using a reach palette of vividly colored enamels
  • Although similar, every plate has its own floral groups, none are completely alike
  • Roses, peonies, tulips, daises, sweet peas, cornflowers etc.
  • The borders are embossed
  • All are unmarked, which is common for most of the early English porcelain
  • One bears a little circular stamp, looking as a star. A similar marking could be find on some early Derby pieces
  • The style of the flowers is similar to early Derby, Chelsea or Spode porcelain pieces
  • Circa late 18th/early 19th century, Staffordshire
  • All original and unique

  • Measurements: Approx. 10" diameter (across) each
  • Weighs about 5 lbs. 4 oz. altogether

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos below. All original. One has 2 stable hairlines in the center and at the rim, another just a minute firing irregularity at the edge, hard to notice and at the underside only. All show minor ware on the enamel, altogether commensurate with age and use. No restorations at all, whatsoever!
