This lot consists of five of the BARONESS pulp espionage novels from the 1970s by Paul Kenyon: numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, all published by Pocket Books in 1974.

These books are in overall good condition for their age. They feel less handled than you'd expect given their age, and the bindings are good and solid, but the exteriors show varying signs of handling or storage. Book #6 shows somewhat more handling and wear than the other books in this lot.

Smooth spine with no creases from reading. Binding is good and solid. Spine has wear to corners and some wear to long edges. Front cover has some surface cracking by the top left corner, some corner wear, light edge wear, and denting around bottom right corner. Back cover has corner wear, some edge chipping, some surface scuffing, and a superficial crack near the lower part of the left edge. Interiors of covers only lightly yellowed from age. Page edges yellowed from age. Full-color interior cigarette ad still intact! No writing or marks inside or on outside of book. This paperback shows a bit of exterior wear, but it's in good, solid condition for its age.

Spine is smooth, with no creases from reading. Binding is good and tight. Spine has only light wear to corners or top/bottom edges. Front cover has wear to top right corner, denting of bottom right corner, a bit of cracking along spine edge near top left corner. Back cover has light denting or wear to corners, light denting of top edge. Interiors of covers discolored from age. Pages a bit yellowed from age. No writing or marks inside or on outside of book. Red page edges. This paperback shows a bit of wear and age, but it's in good, solid condition for its age.

Back cover has some denting of top edge, a small crack emanating from top edge near top right corner, a small fold in lower left corner, light denting of bottom edge. Interiors of covers discolored from age. Pages discolored from age. Red page edges. Paperback has a few exterior flaws but is still solid and feels minimally read or handled.

Front cover has denting of top edge, some wear to bottom edge, superficial dent/fold around top right corner, light wear or denting to bottom right corner. Back cover has a superficial crack around top left corner, wear to bottom left corner, some cracking along right (spine) edge. Interiors of covers discolored from age. Red page edges. Pages discolored from age typical of cheaply printed paperbacks from this era. No writing or marks. Book shows a bit of exterior wear but is still pretty solid.

Binding is good and solid. Spine has some ripples on it, and I can't tell if they're creases from reading or just the result of a printing/manufacturing defect. Front cover has noticeable cracking along spine edge where cover has been opened, as well as wear to corners and some denting of top edge. Back cover has denting along top edge, light denting of left edge, lightly dented corners, and some cracking emanating from top right and bottom right corners. Interiors of covers lightly discolored from age. Pages yellowed from age. No writing, marks, etc., inside or on outside of book. This book shows more age and wear than the other books in this lot, but it's still a solid copy.
