This elegant Tobacco Card ( also referred to as a Cigarette card )  was issued by  the W. Duke & Sons and Co. of Durham North Carolina & New York  as an insert premium in their brands of Tobacco and Cigarettes during 1892.  These cards are from a scarce series of  50 cards entitled , “ FLORAL BEAUTIES AND LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS ”   listed as series  N75 in Burdick’s  American Card Catalogue.  The front of the card features a colorful image of a beautiful young Victorian woman surrounded by  illustrations of the particular flower featured.  The card front also identifies the cards as well as the flowers meaning in the Victorian Language of flowers.   The back featured advertising for Duke Cigarettes and list all of the other cards in the series   This card features the MARIGOLD .   The stunning Lithography for the card was done by the Lithographer DONALDSON BOTHERS of New York.   The Cards measures 2 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches  approximately.  The card does have a few small spots of print loss to the back, however it is free from creasing  . I have scanned the card fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself.   Were else could you get a Victorian Floral lithographic print of this age and quality, this affordable
