Upper arm or wrist?

Blood pressure can be measured on the upper arm or wrist. As various tests have shown, the measurement results are just as reliable when measured on the wrist as on the upper arm. However, for the more vulnerable, such as older people, smokers and patients with cardiac arrhythmia and diabetes, an upper arm blood pressure monitor is recommended.

Measure correctly on the wrist:

Measurement at the same time of day if possible
Take five minutes rest before measuring
Wear the display on the inside of your arm
Keep your arm slightly bent and the device at heart level
Do not move or talk during the measurement
To protect your blood vessels, do not take the measurement several times in a row
