This listing is for a very rare life-size "Grinch" from How the Grinch Stole Christmas made by the Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company. During research of the history of this particular make/model of the Grinch, it was discovered that this limited design was made as a display for the Spencer Gifts retail locations in the late 1990’s.

This huge life-size like plush doll measures approximately 5 feet tall when held up straight (the Grinch does not stand on its own). The Grinch weighs about 20 pounds and because it does not stand on its own it sometimes feels like moving a life-size body. The stuffed Grinch is made of plush and covered in areas with synthetic fur and hair. The Santa hat, coat and shoes are permanent parts of this Grinch. It is believed that the Grinch may have had a small jingle bell attached to his shoes, but we do not remember it having any when received.

The Grinch was inherited from a relative in the early 2000’s. For a few years, the Grinch was stored in a large sealed plastic bag throughout the year and brought out for display during the holidays. A former student, who was studying photography, asked if the Grinch could be used in “everyday routine” photos. The photos of the posed Grinch were shown to a neighbor, who had just been diagnosed with cancer. The photos inspired laughter and brought up her spirits. Since then, The Grinch has had hundreds of photos taken with guests and other adventures in the area. (See some of the provided photos)

While we hate to see the Grinch go, we hope someone can carry on the tradition.
