This item came from the personal and direct collection of former King of Egypt King Farouk.  King Farouk was one of the most advanced stamp collectors of his time and had several rare and unique philatelic items in his personal possession stored in his royal palace.  This item was in that collection which was eventually sold to the public in 1954 and after the king lost his throne in 1952.  "Own a piece of history once owned by Royalty".
