The International Brigade were military units set up by the Communist international to assist the Popular Front government of the Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War. During the civil war between 40,000 and 59,000 foreigners volunteered to fight for one side or the other with 10,000 of them loosing their lives. The civil war broke out over fascism and totalitarian rule.

Volunteer soldier is in new unused unopened condition although there is a piece of sellotape across the top of it and I can’t remove it. The soldier figure inside is unaffected. The magazine is in used but good condition and has a lot of information.
