This is a beautiful plate with a dark blue transfer of a man in the center holding a "Peace - Plenty" eagle shield. This plate is an American Historical staffordshire plate produced by Ralph and James Clews in the first part of the 19th century. This has an impressed mark on the underside of the base that reads, "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE".
