Rare 18th C Antique Salt Glaze Pottery Charger, 12", England, Staffordshire, England, c. 1755 - 1800. This large twelve inch diameter dish or charger, is a rare size that I am happy to offer here on eBay. This rare charger is very attractive with a sharply molded embossed design on the front with a basketweave design to the surface. It is getting more and more difficult to find this early salt glaze pottery from the eighteenth century as it is brittle and does not survive 275+ years very well. This example is in As Found condition as it has 7 3/4" hairline off the rim that is nicely mended with glue, so that the repair is barely visible from the front.
