An opportunity to acquire a rare copy of the New Edition of this absorbing collection of short stories by E.F. (Edward Frederic) Benson (1867-1940), son of Edward White Benson, Archbishop Of Canterbury (1883-96). The collection was first published in 1912.

A prolific author of novels, short stories and non-fiction, Benson is probably best known today for his ‘Mapp and Lucia’ novels, written during the 1920s and 1930s. The setting of these novels is Rye in East Sussex, where Benson lived in Henry James’ former home, Lamb House.

His brothers, A.C. And R.H. Benson were also successful writers.
