This RARE and colorful card is one in a series of 30 Animal cards issued during 1915 by the Church and Dwight Company entitled "Interesting Animals" it is referred to as series J11 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue.   One was inserted into each package of their Arm and Hammer and Cow Brand and John Dwight’s Baking Soda and Saleratus. Each card features a stunning illustration of an Animal on the front of the card, with a brief description of the Animal and advertising for Arm and Hammer Soda on the back.   This series uses the same images that were used on the 1897 Arm & Hammer Animals Series of 60 animals.  However when these were issued in 1915 the company cut the series down to only 30 animals.  I have always found These later edition of 30 are much harder to find than the earlier issued 60 series.   This card is #9 in the series and features a BROWN BEAR and Cubs.   There are different front surface variations for this series.  This one is the textured front surface variation.  The card measures 2 15/16 inches by just under 1 7/8 inches approximately. The card has some creasing.  I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself.    This would make an excellent display piece or addition to any Church and Dwight Collector or Wildlife enthusiast's.  Don't miss out on this scarce over 105 Year American Antique Old collectible.
