Engraved New Testament title page dated 1608.

N.B. Lacks Main Title and prelims.

Otherwise complete.

Two Tables (Complete) also dated 1608 at close.


 N.B. Contains much fine contemporary (or near)

manuscript annotation,

mostly in English, occ. in Hebrew / Latin,

includes an early word numbering system, 

a daily scripture reading plan,

  Psalms marked to be read in accordance 

with Book of Common Prayer calendar. 


N.B. Around twenty leaves have marginal losses,

worst examples shown, mostly only 

side notes are affected, however, 

occasionally a handful of textual words are lost.


OT leaves show just below avg. toning / staining.

NT leaves show more signs of use due to above.


BINDING is mid 20th century, sturdy, 

smooth black (perhaps bonded) leather,

with mostly plain tooling to covers and spine.

General light marking / minor surface wear.

Black vinyl endpapers & three ribbon markers.

Edges appear neatly trimmed and finished 

with lovely large swirl marbled page edges.
