This "Corona" "No.3" "Special" folding portable typewriter with its' case is in "as found" condition.
The typewriter has retained much of its' original black paintwork with gold crinkle finish to the front and sides, the colour still has a good depth, however, there are marks, scratches and scuffs that you would associate with a machine of this age.
The plated metal work has retained much of its' finish, but there are some surface blemishes in places.
The gold lettering to the front and back have a good colour with only a minor rubbing.
All of the keys are present, the letters, numbers and symbols are still clear and legible, there are no chips or cracks to the keys, although some of the celluloid covers have discoloured slightly.
The type-heads hit the platen when the keys are depressed, the "Caps" and Fig" keys lift the carriage as they should.
The carriage moves along when typing or when the space bar is depressed. It revolves nicely too.
The typewriter folds down as it should.
The serial number is "JX660827"
The typewriter has its' case, the folding front is well attached, however part of the catch to the front is bent, and there is some loss of finish and surface rust to the plated elements.
There is some loss of covering to the front too.
The handle is well attached.
The machine has its' instructions and brush.
Re-listed due to non completion of sale.
