Walt introduces the narrator, Spyrus Olympopolus, to demonstrate how the ancient sports practiced in foreign countries have evolved into the games of today.
Spyros illustrates this using Goofy.
Superstar Goofy
The Olympics are over now, but that doesn't mean they can't still be honored.
In honor of that, the Disney Studio had produced a pastiche film in 1972 for the Olympics that year (held in Munich) known as "Superstar Goofy" (sometimes referred to as "Olympic Goof"), a collection of sports-themed Goofy cartoons (plus one Donald Duck cartoon).
It was released mainly overseas in Europe and Australia, but would not be released stateside until 1976, just in time for the Olympics that year (held in Montreal).
Item in VINTAGE FAIR / Good CONDITION but is over 30 years old and has age wear.
