HOMO SAPIENS

Visconti is delighted to announce the launch of the Homo Sapiens, the most highly anticipated pen of 2010. Made from material as ancient as the world around us, Visconti Homo Sapiens is the first pen ever to be forged from volcanic lava. The lava is taken from the Etna Volcano in Sicily, Italy.

All trims are made from bronze and the fountain features the new Visconti 18K Nib. Homo Sapiens is available in fountain, rollerball, ballpen.

Lava has some incredible qualities making it the perfect material for writing instruments.

•             Flame-proof:                                     heat resistance to heat over 100°C

•             Slightly hygroscopic:                       absorbs hand sweat during use

•             Dense to the touch:                        comfortable to grip and relaxing to write with
