Here we have
a fantastic Victorian trade card by the Hills Bros company of SAN FRANCISCO,
that was issued with their Brand of Mexomoka Mocha Coffee packages. The series is listed in the American card Catalogue
as series K143 entitled “Views”. It
features various sepia illustrations from sites and scenes from around the
world. According to the card itself there
were 100 different cards in the series. It
measures 4 ¾ inches by 3 1/8 inches. It
does appear to have some paste or glue remnants to the back, but is free from
creases, I think it displays very well.
