Some stuff? on the blades of the steak knives but not the carving set. It seems like it could easily be cleaned, but I don't know how to do that - I just wiped them down and didn't scrub since I wanted to preserve the shiny finish. Some marks/stains in the box. Nice, large set overall. See photos.
