Title:   Caracal

Scratch art / Scratchboard

is applying thousands of individual scratches in multiple layers to create an image.  It requires scratching away the top layer (usually black) to varying degrees exposing the layer beneath (usually white) to create an image. If you would like to add color, you typically scratch even more and then color is applied.  The image and depth is developed through multiple layers of adding color then scratching, adding color, scratching, etc.

Signed with last names on the front, as well as, signed and titled on the back. 

Colors may vary a bit due to lightning when the image was taken or scanned or due to individual monitors.

Size:   Actual artwork - 7" x 5"  Overall size is larger in frame.

Materials:   Scratchboard, India Ink, Krylon Varnish

Payment:   Due within 3 days of the close of auction

Packing:   Art will be package with care.  I often try to reuse/recycle packing materials provided they are in good condition and will keep the art safe in transit.  Its my little part in helping to keep the planet clean.
