Solid wood and looks to be gold paint or embellishment around the box and corners

In center of the lid there is a Painting of a landscape with what looks to be deer

Comes with some paper swan and flowers which has been stamped. see picture

Brass hinges

The lock mechanism has fallen off. Missing two screws on the inside to attach to the box

The lock does have the key with it and it functions properly by turning the key the lock mechanism engages

Looks like the top latch has been worked on before the one that holds down the top of the inside lid. Looks to have been carved out. See pictures
