Item for auction is a 11.14g fragment of the NWA 2086 CV3 carbonaceous chondrite. Its fairly fresh with a weathering grade of W1, with a dual lithology green/gray matrix filled with sharply defined chondrules of many shapes and sizes. I've only seen this kind of gray and green matrix coloration in a few stones, and is quite remarkable. This material reminds me a little of Axtell, and smells a bit like Allende. This is very fresh CV material from out of the desert - most have weathered surfaces and low contrast, oxidized and darkened matrices - but this meteorite is fairly fresh with a distinct CV aroma to it. This specimen features many CAIs and surviving fusion crust, as can be seen in several pictures. This beautiful stone would make an excellent addition to any collection and comes in a quality labeled display case for protection and years of viewing pleasure, along with a Big Kahuna Meteorites Certificate of Authenticity / Specimen Card. Scale cube in photo is 1cm on each side, and not included in sale. Big Kahuna combines shipping, and addresses must be in the English language, to facilitate customs input at US Postal Service. Non-English addresses cannot be shipped, and may incur additional fees for handling. We no longer ship to China or Italy.
