ARTIST	徐悲鸿（1895年7月19日—1953年9月26日），原名徐寿康，汉族，江苏宜兴屺亭镇人，中国现代画家、美术教育家，曾任教于国立中央大学艺术系、北平大学艺术学院和北平艺术专科学校，其主要绘画作品有《田横五百士》《九方皋》《漓江春雨》《泰戈尔像》《奔马》等。徐悲鸿于1916年考入震旦大学攻读法文；1919年，考入巴黎国立高等美术学校，学习油画、素描，并游历西欧诸国，观摹、研究美术作品；1924年，创作作品《抚猫人像》《萧声》《马夫和马》《远闻》；1930年，创作完成油画作品《田横五百士》；1934年，先后在德国柏林和法兰克福举办个人画展，在莫斯科和列宁格勒举办中国近代画展；1935年，创作完成油画作品《彩霞》《黄山》，创作完成国画作品《漓江野渡》《鱼鹰》《墨猪》《桄榔树》《虎与兔》；1938年，创作完成作品《牛浴》《光岩》《负伤之狮》《象鼻山》，并在香港举办个人画展；1941年，创作完成作品《奔马》，并先后在马来西亚槟榔屿、怡保、吉隆坡举办筹赈画展；1946年，任国立北平艺术专科学校校长，并任北平美术作家协会名誉会长；1949年7月，当选为中华全国文学艺术界联合会常务委员和中华全国美术工作者协会主席，9月被任命为中央美术学院院长；1953年9月任第二届全国文艺工作者代表大会执行主席，9月26日，在北京逝世，享年58岁。
