The Apple Think Different Genius “Crazy Ones” Educator Set was created as part of the Think Different advertising campaign in conjunction with Steve Jobs’ return to Apple. Prior to Jobs’ return Apple had lost hundreds of millions of dollars and cut thousands of jobs.
One of Jobs' top priorities was the renewal of Apple’s image. Lee Clow and his team from TBWA Chiat/Day advised Apple that it should be aligned with the creativity of personalities and people making an impact on the twentieth century. They presented a new slogan for Apple’s advertising ads: “Think Different”.
The "Think Different" campaign provided an opportunity to celebrate both the creativity of these people but also the distinctiveness of Apple in the computing world, responding to IBM’s historic campaign motto, "Think”.
The Think Different advertising campaign consisted of two main parts: television commercials and a print campaign.
1) Apple worked very closely with educators and developed the "Educators Set” of TEN 17 inch by 11 inch (17” X 11”) “Genius” posters:

Each of the 10 “Genius” Posters in the ”Educators Set” is in Absolute Perfect Condition - NO creases or pinholes as they have been stored since the late 1990’s.
2) The Think Different Advertising Genius Letter (1 page) and and Biographies (4 pages) sent to educators introduced the “Geniuses”, their accomplishments, and celebrates their lives and creativity. These were companion materials included with the ”Think Different" Educator Set posters and are printed on 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch premium card stock paper.
3) The Apple Genius “To the Crazy Ones” “Think Different” Advertising Campaign "Educators Set” packaging container measures 17 1/2 inches long by 11 1/2 inches wide by 7/8 inch thick. “To the Crazy Ones” is printed on the backside of the "Educators Set” packaging container:
