Someone contacted me about older apparatus, check out my other auctions cause I'm putting out a bunch of new older pieces going back to horse drawn.

I'm launching a series of horse drawn American fire apparatus.  (Horses not included)   The units cover horse drawn up through early motorization.  If you're modeling early 20th Century these will be a must for protecting you layout.  Many of these served through WW2 due to shortages.  Due to changes in firefighting technology some didn't make it very far into the motorized era.  These units will look great as a flat car load, sitting in a fire station,  parade or in some cases around a larger business.

By the mid 1800's steam become the main source of power for engines in both railroading and firefighting.    Steam power in the firefighter world would signal the end of the large volunteer fire companies of the big cities and bring about professional fire departments.  These units would have their fires banked and hot water available.  This was to enable the pumper to be able to pump within minutes after pulling out to respond to a fire.  At the beginning of the 20th century internal combustion began to make inroads into fire apparatus design.  Some steam fire engines were coupled with tractors like the Christie tractor or towed.  By the mid 20th century steam fire engines ceased to be used for firefighting.  Many were scrapped in scrap metal drives during WW 2.  These engines didn't carry much more equipment other than the pump itself and was usually was accompanied by a hose wagon.

I'll be adding more as time permits.  Some flash removal is required, Some models will require basic assembly.  Each listing is for one item unless otherwise specified.  Pictures with painted trucks  are N scale.

Since most modelers like to buy more than one item,  I'm glad to combine shipping.  You should never pay more than $5.99 in total.  With that said, you can request an invoice or contact me to make arrangements to adjust shipping.
