1925 Martin Handcraft low pitch bari. Great condition.

For sale is a very clean 1925 Martin low pitch bari. I don’t know the full history of the horn but I am

the third owner. The horn was donated to a TX high school in the late 70’s and was relaquered at some point then. It was used for several years until it was retired and stored in a temperature controlled storage room since the early 90’s. I took possession in 2013 and have used this horn as my main bari since.

The case is a Martin case but not original to the horn. I had a new handle put on it when Intook possession of the horn. It isn’t the prettiest but very functional. It has also had a recent service at Tate Music and Repair in Safety Harbor, Fl. and is in great mechanical condition.

There are a few very small dings along the body which one would expect from a horn of its age. Only one dent in the neck tubing (see pics) but it doesn’t affect playability.

The horn has a nice big, warm tone as is characteristic of these horns, but can also bark with the right setup.
