This listing is for two Slingerland spring loaded Double-Pad Black Felt Muffler for Snare or Tom Drums.

The mufflers have two circular black felts that measure 1.5” in diameter. The spring loaded adjustment knob allows the muffling device to go from a straight extension to up to an 80-ish degree angle (which creates a direct flush contact with the drum head).

The mounts have the threaded knob-type screws for adjusting the felt muffles into place inside the drum. The mounts come with the original drum plates for mounting on the inside of a drum, but one of the devices is missing the screws. This plate can also be used as a template if retrofitting a drum shell for the screws and adjustment knob.

These mufflers, believed to be from the mid-1970’s, are in a Fine (or better) condition. They were purchased sometime in the late 1980’s for a drumset retrofit, but were never used. They were placed in a storage box with other new and used percussion parts and placed in storage.
