Beautiful sterling silver spoon from Poland Polska dating back to year 1974 featuring on the top detailed design of eagle without a crown and decorations down the handle. Shield of Poland is white eagle on the red background. The eagle was always with a crown except the years when communists were ruling the country after World War two. On the back of handle it has initials PRL which stand for Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa, which means in loose translations Peoples Republic of Poland, under initial it has roman number XXX, which must be 30-year anniversary. On the back marked HEFRA and has a hallmark of lady’s head with number 3 for silver purity of 800. Measures 5-5/8” in length (142 mm), feels heavy, weighs 33.1 grams and it is in excellent condition.
