Up for Auction is a Antique 1910's Wilkins Pressed Steel & Wood 19" Wind-Up Aerial Ladder Fire Truck with Driver.

Ladders are wood and the rest is pressed steel.

• Kingsbury bought out Wilkins in the 1890's and kept the Wilkins name until around 1919. I have seen this toy attributed to Kingsbury, however, the Kingsbury one has solid wheels while these are spoked so I believe it is earlier Wilkins.

19 inches in length. 7 1/2 inches in height 

Moderate playwear with paint loss and some oxidation. Mechanism that releases the ladder works as it should as does the mechanism that hold the ladder at different heights. Wind-up mechanism works though the truck needs to be nudged along. The part that connects the 2 ladder sections needs to be reattached on one side. I don't want to mess with it. Ladders are wood so need to be careful and not break. Check out pictures.
