You are bidding on a FULL BOX(12 pieces) of antique "DAN PATCH" pool/billiard chalk in the ORIGINAL BOX!!! This RARE and stunning example of chalk was sold by EHRLICH out of Saint Joseph / St. Joseph, Missouri 100+ years ago. I'm no expert on chalk, but this full box of chalk looks to be Unused to me. This Scarce chalk is Much Rarer than Brunswick Balke Collender chalk and some other chalk labels, because it was sold by a smaller billiard manufacturer(Ehrlich) in Smalltown USA(St. Joe, MO). I have lived 60 miles from St. Joe, Missouri my entire life, and have hunted antique pool / billiard items for the last 29 years, including years of yellow page ads back in the day. Needless to say, I have been in hundreds of basements looking at antique pool tables in the area. However, in all of that searching, I have NEVER found ANY Ehrlich chalk until now. Since I am local to the area, and I haven't previously found any antique Ehrlich chalk, then it would stand to reason that there must not be much Ehrlich chalk that survived. Not only is this the first time I have Ever found any Ehrlich chalk, but this is also the Only Full Box of Unused Antique Dan Patch/Ehrlich Billiard Chalk that I have Ever seen or heard of in my 29 years of searching for antique billiard items!!! COULD THIS BE THE ONLY FULL BOX OF UNUSED ANTIQUE DAN PATCH/EHRLICH BILLIARD CHALK KNOWN TO EXIST??? I don't know, but either way, this will be a Marquis Item in Any antique pool/billiard chalk collection! Labels are Nice. See Photos.
