Vintage 2 Item Post War O LIONEL 4-6-4 Hudson Steam LOCOMOTIVE 2055 w/ 2046 Whistle TENDER
Runs -- But Needs Further Oiling/Cleaning
O gauge.
According to Tandem Associates: “The Lionel Hudson Type 4-6-4-Locomotive No. 2055 introduced in 1953 and would continue to be available until 1955. Based on a Santa Fe prototype, this engine was equipped with Magnetraction, smoke, drive rod connecting rod valve gear, and there was a whistle in the tender.”
Condition: Good. Tested and runs BUT the engine needs more oiling and restoration work to get it running smoothly. Tender whistles — after some effort; I had to tease it a bit to get the whistle to work…but it did not stay going for a long time (it was a short toot). Not sure if smoke works. BOTH front jewel marker lantern lights ARE, however, still present. Again, needs further oiling and cleaning as buyer deems best fit. I have started my price lower to reflect the work will be needed to get the engine and whistle tender back to smooth operation. No boxes.
