NICE! Vintage/Antique Curved Blade Thick Stiff Carbon Steel Butcher Hunting Skinning Knife
You are bidding on this very old and SUPER NICE lightly used vintage/antique 6" bladed Carbon Steel Chef's Skinning Butcher Knife, that may be marked "GLOBE CO" on the one handle (see pics). This knife was worn with the included decorative cloth sheath by an elderly man who wore it as part of his CIVIL-WAR reenactment uniform. The wooden handle/scales are still solidly mounted to the full tang of the knife with the 5 steel rivets, the handles are not loose at all (see pics). There's no cracks, breaks or repairs on the handles (see pics). The blade is still very stiff and strong, not bent (see pics). The blade of the knife shows some typical aged carbon steel patina and stains on it, along with some light pitting on the one side of the blade (see pics). These stains and pitting are very normal and common for an old knife that's been around for many many decades (see pics). The cutting edge doesn't  have any chips or nicks on it. The knife weighs in at 4.6 oz. The over all lengths of the knife is almost 10-1/2" long. The blade of the knife is 6" long.  Please use the zoom function to inspect all photos to see the exact condition of the item.
You will not be disappointed in this old Carbon Steel Chef's Skinning Butcher/Hunting Knife
