The Studio Session from Ion is 6-piece USB electronic drum set that includes a USB connection box and Windows compatible drum software. You load the software onto your PC, connect the Studio Session drums to an available USB port, and start drumming with the software. You can jam along with music in the software, record an MP3 of your performance, and even play a challenging drumming video game.
The drums and cymbals can also be used as a MIDI controller for other audio software with MIDI capability on both Windows and Mac computers (but the included software is for Windows only). Kick drum and hi-hat pedals are included. One of the cymbals even has a choke sensor on it, so you can smash it can quickly grab it to mute the sound just like a real cymbal. Not only is the included drumming video game fun, but it's also designed to teach you how to play drums. A pair of drumsticks are included so you can start playing right away.
